Marina Loshak, Director of The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts: “It has been a long-awaited and absolutely special project for me, which we’ve been nurturing for almost a year now. It has been a very enjoyable and fruitful interaction with incredibly talented artists who channel their taste through fashion. I am convinced that contemporary fashion is an integral part of artistic process and an inherent part of art itself. That is why we form creative tandems with designers by giving life to unique projects. The 9-piece collection includes three Gauguin paintings: The Queen. Wife of the King. 1896 (“TeArii Vahine”), Are you jealous? 1892 (“Aha Oe Feij?”), and Her Name was Vairaumati. 1892 (“Vairaumati tei Oa”) that have been reappropriated as an all over print on both the shirts and skateboards, with one artwork per shirt.
