The most anticipated night of the year has finally arrived, let's see all the highlights for the 91st Academy Awards. The ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, and featured the best movies of the year. Leading the group is Lanthimos’ "The Favorite" and Netflix’s "Roma" with 10 nominations each, the two movies have also been nominated for Best Picture alongside Marvel’s "Black Panther" (seven nods); "BlacKkKlansman" (six nods); "Bohemian Rhapsody" (five nods); "Green Book" (five nods); "A Star Is Born" (eight nods); and "Vice" (eight nods). Through the individual nominations we can find Rami Malek, that earned his first Best Actor nod for critically acclaimed portrayal of Freddie Mercury in "Bohemian Rhapsody", and Spike Lee that won his first Oscar ever in the Best Directing category for "BlacKkKlansman".
As every year, music plays a main role in the Oscars night, in fact the night was filled with many performances on stage. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper performed “Shallow” from "A Star Is Born"; Jennifer Hudson “I’ll Fight” from the documentary "RBG"; and “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings,” from the Coen Brothers anthology "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs", performed by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. One of the most exciting moments of the event was also the exhibition of legendary rock band Queen, featuring American Idol star Adam Lambert to honor Freddie Mercury and the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody".
