Marcelo Burlon continues to impose himself at the last runways of Milan Fashion Week. For the Spring Summer 2019 collection, the Milan based designer decided to entitle it “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, inspired by the cult movie directed by Steven Spielberg. All the line is characterized from futuristic visions but with retro color palette, including fluo pinks and greens, getting the 80/90s vibe. Various pieces from the collection feature text prints in Spanish, Marcelo's native tongue, as a usual sign of his tradition and heritage. The new creativity marks a big step forward for the Italian brand, projecting the fashion house into a new maturity, also hitting some of the major trends of the season like neon colours, plastic fabrics and technical cuts. His casting was eccentric and mixed as well, presenting twins with albinism, elder men and 8 years old children. The line includes transparent windbreakers, striped shirts, baggy jeans, graphic t-shirts, ponchos and cycling shorts. Stay tuned to see the backstage report tomorrow!
