Few months have passed from the Instagram teasing of Virgil Abloh about the reinterpretation of IKEA’s iconic FRAKTA bag, now the renowned Swedish company and Off White Creative Director have officially revealed their collaboration. Indeed an upcoming "affordable" furniture collection "designed for Millennials" has been announced, featuring a branded doorstep, a Abloh-designed chair, the popular “BLUE” and “KEEP OFF” hand-shaved rugs and a new cabinet design with the purpose of "emphasizing your junk drawer". In fact Virgil Abloh explains his choice of an all glass cabinet with bold red handles shaped like nails with the purpose of displaying clearly all your junk. All products are in a prototype stage, but this announcement has been a test for Virgil and IKEA to gain some feedback on their ideas. Stay tuned for more info on the collection.
