True to his unisex flimsy aesthetic, for this collection Damir Doma mixed raw-cuts with oversized tailored shapes for both men and women, going beyond gender barriers in clothing. The collection highlights the oversized and elongated silhouettes that the Croatian designer has come to be known for. The key color is mustard, that gives a vibrant mood to the primarily monochrome collection. Looking at the details, bondage pants and leather collars are clearly a reference to the punk aesthetic while mesh tops channel rave-culture, all done in beautiful high-fashion materials. Talking about prints, they are kept to a minimum and instead the designer relies on texture to draw attention to the clothing.Off-white denim patchworks and long raw-cut coats embellished with triangular brooches made the collection edgy and bold while long tailored outwear and striped trenches with belts gave a balance to Damir Doma’s creations, showing his savoir-faire and craftsmanship. Expect to see Damir Doma Spring Summer collection 2017 in late 2016.
